Privacy Policy

Propel helps you write proposals, quotes and bids. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. The short version: your documents live on your device, we don't run accounts, and we don't sell data.

1. Information we collect

Propel does not require an account. You can optionally add a business profile (your name, company, role, email, phone and website) so it appears on your documents.

• Content you enter. Client names, project details, pricing, line items and your business profile (name, company, contact details, bio, payment instructions). This is stored locally on your device so the app can save and re-open your documents.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe or buy a lifetime unlock, Apple processes the payment. We receive an anonymous purchase identifier and entitlement status so the app can unlock Pro features. We never see your card details.
• Device and diagnostic data. Basic technical information (app version, device model, OS version) may be included if the app crashes, so we can fix bugs.

2. How we use information

• To generate the proposal, quote or follow-up you asked for.
• To save your documents and settings on your device.
• To confirm your purchase and unlock Pro features.
• To diagnose crashes and improve the app.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

3. AI generation (third-party AI)

Propel uses a third-party AI provider, DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.), to write and revise document text. When you ask Propel to generate, revise or rewrite a document, the following is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and then to DeepSeek:

• the details you entered for that document (for example the project description, client name, pricing, tone and length);
• your business profile as shown on the document (name, company, role, email, phone, website and bio);
• for revisions, the current text of the document and your instruction.

Before the first request, the app shows a notice describing this and asks for your permission. You can decline, in which case nothing is sent and the AI features stay off until you accept. DeepSeek processes this content only to return the generated text; we do not permit it to use your content for advertising or to train its models, and we do not send device identifiers or purchase information to it. DeepSeek's own privacy policy is at platform.deepseek.com. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information (such as government IDs or financial account numbers) into a proposal.

4. Third-party services

• Apple App Store & StoreKit — payment processing and subscription management.
• RevenueCat — verifies purchases and manages entitlements using an anonymous app-user ID.
• DeepSeek (AI text provider) — generates document text from the details you provide, as described in section 3.

Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy.

5. Data storage and retention

Your proposals, brand profile and preferences are stored on your device only. They stay there until you delete them in the app or uninstall Propel. We do not keep copies on our servers: our generation server relays your request to DeepSeek and streams the result back without storing the content. Documents you export as PDF are saved or shared wherever you choose to send them.

6. Your choices and rights

• Delete your data. Delete individual documents inside the app, or uninstall the app to remove everything stored locally.
• Manage subscriptions. Cancel or change your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings.
• Withdraw AI consent. Uninstalling the app resets the AI notice; you can also simply stop generating documents. Content already processed by DeepSeek is subject to its retention policy.
• Access or questions. Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Email us and we'll help.

7. Children

Propel is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Security

All network traffic from the app uses HTTPS encryption. Local data is protected by your device's built-in security. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
