Terms of Use · EULA
The deal, in
plain language.
This is the end user licence agreement between you and LyricFlow. By downloading or using the app you accept it. If you do not, do not use the app.
Last updated 25 July 2026 · LyricFlow for iOS
01 The short version
- Your lyrics are yours. We claim no ownership of anything you write in LyricFlow, including AI-drafted lines.
- You get a personal licence to use the app. You may not resell, copy or reverse-engineer it.
- The monthly and annual Studio plans renew automatically until you cancel in your App Store settings. There is no free trial; the free tier has no time limit.
- AI output is a draft, not advice. Check anything before you release or register it.
02 Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use LyricFlow on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. This is a licence, not a sale — we retain all rights in the app itself.
You may not:
- Copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract its source or keys, except where law expressly permits it.
- Use the app or its API to build a competing service, to resell generated output as a generation service, or to run bulk or automated requests.
- Interfere with, overload or attempt to bypass rate limits, entitlement checks or any other protective measure.
- Use the app to produce content that is unlawful, that harasses or defames someone, that infringes another person's rights, or that impersonates an existing artist for the purpose of deception.
03 Who owns what you write
You do. Every lyric, title, note and arrangement you create in LyricFlow belongs to you, including the parts the AI drafted. We assert no copyright over it, take no licence to it, and make no claim on royalties, credits or publishing. Plain-text export is free on every tier so you can always take your work elsewhere.
Two honest caveats about AI-assisted writing. First, generative models can produce similar output for different people, so we cannot promise your generated lines are unique. Second, the copyright status of purely AI-generated text varies by country and is still settling — in the United States, for instance, material generated without human authorship may not be registrable. Treat the output as raw material you shape, and get your own advice before registering or commercially releasing a song.
04 Subscriptions and payment
Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. Free-tier limits and the specific features inside Studio may be adjusted over time as the app develops.
If you cancel, nothing you have written is deleted. Your library stays readable and editable and you return to the free tier's limits for new work.
05 AI output
LyricFlow's writing, rewriting, rhyme, metaphor and critique features are generated by a third-party language model. Output can be wrong, derivative, repetitive or unsuitable, and critique is an opinion generated by software rather than a professional assessment. You are responsible for what you do with it: review anything before you publish, perform, register or sell it.
Generation requires an internet connection and depends on a third-party provider. Your library, the editor, the meter ruler and rhyme detection run on your device and work offline.
06 Your data
Your songs are stored on your device, not on our servers. What the app sends when you use an AI feature, and what we do with it, is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Because we hold no copy of your library, keeping backups of work that matters is on you.
07 Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and the app or its server may be modified, suspended or discontinued. We may suspend access if the app is used in breach of these terms, in particular for abuse of the generation API.
08 Warranty and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law, LyricFlow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost work, lost data, lost profits or lost opportunity. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
09 Apple
This agreement is between you and LyricFlow only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
10 Termination
This licence ends if you delete the app or if you breach these terms. Sections 03, 08 and 09 survive termination.
11 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will change and material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continuing to use LyricFlow after a change means you accept the updated terms.
