Privacy Policy
Your songs stay
on your phone.
LyricFlow has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising. This page explains exactly what the app keeps, what it sends, and why.
Last updated 25 July 2026 · LyricFlow for iOS
01 The short version
- Your library — songs, drafts, version history, settings — is stored on your device. We never receive a copy.
- When you ask the app to write, rewrite or critique something, that text is sent to our server and on to our AI provider so a response can come back. It is not stored and not used to train models.
- There is no account, no email collection, no analytics SDK, no advertising and no third-party trackers.
- You own everything you write, including the parts the AI drafted.
02 What stays on your device
All of the following is written to your phone's private app storage and is never transmitted to us:
- Songs, sections, lyrics, titles, notes and saved version history.
- Templates you create, and your theme, haptics and editor preferences.
- Your free-tier usage counters and subscription status.
Deleting the app deletes this data. Because we never hold a copy, we cannot recover it for you — if a song matters, export or share it out of the app. If your device backs up to iCloud, Apple may include this app data in that backup under Apple's own terms; we have no access to it.
03 What gets sent when you use AI features
Writing, continuing, rewriting, rhyming, metaphor and critique features need a server. When you run one of them, the app sends only what that request needs:
- The text you are working on — the relevant lyrics, section, title, theme, genre or mood you supplied.
- The kind of request (for example "rewrite this line" or "critique this verse").
- A random identifier generated on your device the first time the app runs, used for rate limiting.
That request goes to our server at lyricflow.socialgrowthbiz.com,
which forwards the text to our AI provider (DeepSeek) and streams the
result straight back to you.
What our server keeps
No database, no accounts, no lyric storage. Requests are handled in memory and discarded once answered. The server keeps short-lived operational logs — timestamp, request type, response status, and the random device identifier — so that abuse and outages can be diagnosed. Rate-limit counters live in memory and expire.
The device identifier
This is a random UUID created locally. It is not Apple's advertising identifier, it is not linked to your name, email, phone number or Apple Account, and it is not used for advertising or profiling. Deleting the app destroys it; reinstalling creates a new one.
04 Who else is involved
That is the complete list. We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone, and there is nothing to sell — we hold no library, no contact details and no identity.
05 Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app is told only whether an entitlement is active. Card numbers, billing addresses and Apple Account details never reach us. Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
06 Children
LyricFlow is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. AI-generated lyrics can contain mature language depending on what you ask for.
07 Your rights
Because your library never leaves your device, you already hold all of it: you can read, edit, export and delete any of it at any time, from inside the app. Deleting the app removes the device identifier, and the operational log lines tied to it age out on their own. If you want them removed sooner, email us and we will handle it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, including access, correction, deletion and objection. We honour those requests at the address below. We do not sell personal information and never have.
08 Security
Everything between the app and our server travels over HTTPS. Our AI provider key lives only on the server and is never compiled into the app. No system is perfect, but the smallest attack surface is the one where there is nothing stored to take.
09 Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
